The Fizik Haftası (Physics Week) is a regular workshop initiated in 2010 by İstanbul Technical University Physics Engineering Students, during which graduate students give lectures aimed at curious undergraduates on topics that cannot be covered in regular curriculum but set grounds for research. Since 2013 these workshops involve a memorial lecture on behalf of Dr. Duygu Balcan, a young and successful Physicist who passed away in 2013 in a traffic accident.
As the Pazartesi Buluşmaları (Monday Meetings) group that initiated during the first lock-down phase of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we managed to resume these meetings online. I helped both in the organization and contributed with a lecture titled ” Introduction to Group Theory via Rotations”.
