Scalar fields in de Sitter with Taha Ayfer
Since March 15th, 2021 I have been co-supervising Taha Ayfer, MSc. Student at Boğaziçi University Physics Department. We are working on canonical quantization and two point functions of scalar fields on de Sitter, aspects of de Sitter geometry and symmetries.
Introduction to group theory with the de Sitter group
This is a series of lectures started on June 15th, 2021 where we discuss with Beyzanur Aka (Ankara University Physics Bachelor student) and Marianthi Bataki (University of Cyprus Department of Physics PhD student). We started working on finite groups, notions of cosets, equivalence classes, invariant subgroups and basics of representation theory following Wigner. We moved on to discussing Lie groups, Lie algebras and their representation theory following Les Houches 1963 lecture notes by Feza Gürsey. And we plan to end the series with discussions on the de Sitter group in two dimensions and its representations.
